My paintings are hybrids, combining aspects of still life, abstract and landscape  painting.  I believe in the totality of painting and see the emotional connection of the painting to the viewer as the critical element. My ideas come from some actual experience or some place in my life.  Those places are the main sources of the memory material I work with.

My paintings are a mix of representational and impressionistic techniques that convey an energy that is irrepressible.
